Majority of the countries have democracy and political parties are very important part of the democracy. A political party is a group of people having same thinking and beliefs. These political parties after winning the elections try to make their government and employ their beliefs. A political party has its party leader, the party members, and the followers.

A political party has some functions that they need to perform. Let us discuss those functions-

- Political parties have their own agenda and programs and on the basis of these programs people vote their favorite political party. The political party which wins the majority enjoys the privilege of forming the government.

- The political parties have the responsibility of running the government and the executives have the duty of taking important decisions regarding the policies. New executives are employed in the party and if they are capable enough they can also contest for elections.
